{"id":78690,"date":"2025-01-09T09:31:13","date_gmt":"2025-01-09T08:31:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/petronor.eus\/?page_id=78690"},"modified":"2026-01-14T13:11:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T12:11:10","slug":"efficiency","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/petronor.eus\/en\/towards-a-decarbonized-refinery\/decarbonization-roadmap\/efficiency\/","title":{"rendered":"EFFICIENCY"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"row introBlock full-width-section primeraFila maxHeightAuto\">\n<h1 style=\"margin-top: 0;\">EFFICIENCY<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row \">\n<div class=\"col-lg-4 col-md-4 col-xs-12 col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"post-thumb\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2485 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/efficiency.png\" alt=\"Making the current refinery more efficient and reduce consumption and emissions\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-lg-8 col-md-8 col-xs-12 col-sm-12\">\n<p style=\"font-size:22px !important; line-height: normal;\">In the 2024-2028 period, Petronor plans to conduct <b>10 improvement projects<\/b> to enhance the efficiency of the refinery\u2019s facilities for a total of <b>68 million euros<\/b>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom:30px ; height:1px; clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-size:22px !important; line-height: normal;\">These include electrification projects, recovery of the energy generated by the refinery\u2019s processes, fuel saving and heat recuperation, which will make the actual refinery more efficient by reducing consumption, generating more of its own energy and lowering CO2 emissions.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom:30px ; height:1px; clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-size:22px !important; line-height: normal;\">All these projects together represent <b>a reduction in the refinery\u2019s CO2 emissions of 93,463 tons of CO2 per year<\/b>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom:30px ; height:1px; clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-size:22px !important; line-height: normal;\">One of the most significant projects is the acquisition of a new compressor worth 20 million euros for one of the refinery units.
