Petronor has defined so far 7<\/b> projects for the development of new production units for a total amount of 539<\/b> million euros.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

One of the features of these projects is that some of them are located in the Port of Bilbao and that Petronor manages them through its subsidiary Alba Free Emission Energy, which develops them by forming companies with other firms, such as EVE, Nortegas, Enagas, OCO, Preco, and Aranco.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Among the projects, Petronor’s park of 3 electrolyzers for renewable hydrogen production stands out. The first one, 2.5 MW, is already up and running, the 10 MW one is being built at the Port of Bilbao, and the largest of them, 100 MW, which will be installed at the Refinery, is in the final approval stage after being declared of European interest. These three projects together have an investment of \u20ac348 million<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Another remarkable project is the synthetic fuels demonstration plant, the first of its kind in the Repsol group, which, with an investment of \u20ac120 million, has started construction at the Port of Bilbao.<\/p>\n

Finally, also in the Port of Bilbao, we have built<\/b> a mineralization plant based on recycling human solid waste to produce construction materials. The plant started operating in 2026<\/b>.<\/p>\n
