De este tronco, que es corto y robusto y de color blanquecino o gris claro, salen gruesas y vigorosas ramas para formar una copa grande y redondeada. Las hojas, de 20-35 cm de largo, con peciolo de 5-8 cm, alternas e imparipinnadas, est\u00e1n compuestas habitualmente por 5-9 fol\u00edolos -aunque puede tener solo 3-, de 8-15 por 2,5-6,5 cm, enteros en los individuos adultos y discretamente serrulados en los j\u00f3venes, con base frecuentemente asim\u00e9trica, \u00e1pice obtuso o algo acuminado, de env\u00e9s glabro o con gl\u00e1ndulas peltadas en las axilas de los nervios, subs\u00e9siles o peciolulados, de color rojizo al brotar y que, despu\u00e9s, se tornan verde oscuro.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"col-lg-5 col-md-5 col-xs-12
